Dr. Francisco Moya is currently the Director of International Medical Services and a Consultant in Emergency and Sport and Exercise Medicine at Vithas Xanit International Hospital in Malaga, Spain. After obtaining his medical degree in Spain, he completed his postgraduate training in Acute Medicine and Emergency Medicine in the UK and Sport and Exercise Medicine at Bath University. Dr.Moya is a member of the following Scientific Entities: Spanish Society of Emergency Medicine, Royal College of Emergency Medicine (UK), European Society of Cardiology, European Society of Emergency Medicine, Spanish Society of Sport Medicine, the Football Medical Association (UK).
In October 2012, he became a member of the research committee of the European Society of Emergency Medicine founding and leading up to now the Stroke and Thrombosis Interest Group. He has been involved in several research projects at the international level, mainly in the fields of arrhythmia, anticoagulation, sudden death in sport and ACS Management in the emergency departments as well as participating in several scientific publications and medical books.
Dr.Moya is a regular lecturer and committee member at national and international Emergency Medicine congresses and symposia, and is frequently asked to review abstracts at such meetings. Since 2014, he has lectured about Emergency Medicine Management in sports at the University of Malaga School of Health Sciences in Spain.
In November of 2015, Dr.Moya founded the Thromboembolic Venous Disease Interest Group within the Andalusian Society of Emergency Medicine. Then in June of 2017, he was elected to be a board member of the Spanish Society of Emergency Medicine, leading the International Relationships section.
